Since our founding in 1998, Digital Advantage has provided articles on information technology for leading web publishers in Japan. We enjoy a long-standing partnership providing content for major technology publisher Atmark IT, from their first web magazine in 1999, through their IPO in 2007, up to the present day. We publish several of our own web magazines as well, available on Atmark IT-related sites and elsewhere. These articles are completely conceived, written, edited, and managed by our team, which also holds the copyrights.

Taiyo Seikatsu

Jigsaw is a service that analyzes the text in a web-based article, and then uses the results to find related articles on the site and present them in the form of a list. Displaying this list at the bottom of a web page can greatly increase a site’s page views per session, typically more than 10 percent.
PV Subsidy Search: Governmental subsidy tracking
PV Subsidy Search is a web-based service that crawls more than 3,000 municipal and prefectural government web pages every day to provide literally up-to-date information on the subsidies for residential solar systems offered by cities and prefectures throughout Japan.

Enervo: Energy usage tracking
Enervo is a free web-based application where users can track and compare their electric and gas expenditures. The name combines a Latin word for energy with a Japanese word for book. With this service, people considering solar technology can compare their expenses with those of people who have installed PV systems, clarifying the economic advantage. We are currently expanding this service to include smart grid products and services.

CafeMap
CafeMap is a GPS-based navigation application that lets people easily find the nearest coffee shops, like Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts. The Cafe Map database covers more than 24,000 coffee shops across USA and Canada.

Subsidy Search for iPhone is a native iPhone application that provides the same reliable up-to-date information as our web-based PV Subsidy Search service. With this handheld application, solar sales professionals can easily check what governmental subsidies are currently available anytime and anywhere. The iPhone version can even use GPS to display subsidy info for your current location.
